I’m sorry for the delay. It’ll be out next week maybe Sept 12 or 13. This time it’s for sure. I spent extra time slaving away at this thing, trying to make it as pleasurable as possible for impossible-crime fans…so…you can’t be mad at me…or something. Thank you for your patience. This case offers nothing for my reputation though I cannot deny that it comes at an opportune time. Spring is notoriously slow for murders. To be sure, there are still those quick and thoughtless killings derived from passion, but the devious murders, the well-plotted murders, the type of murders to which I have staked my reputation time and time again—those are in short supply. Oh, well. The ever-deepening coffers must be filled, my druthers be damned.
