You can find my newest murder mystery HERE. I’ve been thinking of ways to describe the piece, but most of the plot is probably best left to the experience of reading it. It is a detective story, probably my closest to Doyle’s template of problem/investigation/solution. I think it is solvable. Some of you who have cried foul at my cluing might find yourself surprised by its straightforwardness. I wanted readers to solve it. Hell, I even update the investigation in the middle of the story just so you can reestablish your footing. And yet, the locked-room murder (or at least one important aspect of it) has fooled every beta reader I had. I’ll be interested to see how you fare. There’s also one other minor impossibility early on. Anyway…I’ve talked enough. I hope you enjoy it.
What’s next? Besides all the reading I plan on doing, there is a book of short stories looming. The idea (subject to change) is to present 12 short stories comprising one year of Manory/Williams cases along with one overarching story. It might be a bit ambitious for me, but we’ll see. I often waste the high after finishing a book, waiting months to begin the new project. This time, I’m going to get started sooner. I might even publish one of the stories on this blog as a Christmas present to my 11 fans. Watch this space…

Congrats! Excited to check out eventually, once I’ve gotten through more of my log.

The paperback everywhere except the US seems to be lagging behind. Amazon can be difficult. I hope it gets resolved today and I hope you enjoy it.

Yay! I look forward to reading this (after, uh, reading the two preceding books…)
Just please tell me that, even though it’s no longer the title, the phrase macaque attack appears somewhere in the text…

Unfortunately, I go by the British pronunciation (which was the preferred pronunciation in the English-speaking world in the 1920s), so the phrase is not in the book. https://www.google.com/search?q=how+to+pronounce+macaque&rlz=1C1SQJL_enUS861US861&oq=how+to+pronounce+macaque&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i512j0i22i30l7j0i15i22i30.5534j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

If you make your book available through Kindle Unlimited, Amazon gets exclusive digital rights to you book. Some authors release through multiple outlets, so they aren’t enrolled in KU. It makes sense for me because I only use Amazon. Hope you enjoy the new book.
