The Cast of “The Five False Suicides”

The Murder-mystery Association Society of New Sweden (MASONS)

Gretta Grahame (22) A librarian with a dark past and a dim future.

Faye Withers (27) A waitress at the Shake Shack. Gretta’s roommate.

Olive Tennant (53) The daughter of a wealthy toothpick mogul, Olive spends her time creating murder plots and pitching them at the club.

Harry Tennant (41) Olive’s feckless husband. He attends every meeting, yet never reads the assignments.

Georgie Danvers (46) The owner of the town’s theatre and an avid reader of mysteries,

Oscar Strom (38) A lawyer and frustrated mystery writer.

Tom Mower (73) A retired chef.

Alice Mower (73) a fan of old-fashioned (aka less violent) murder mysteries.

OTHER CHARACTERS

Boroqe Reiszak (61) A psychic medium who holds the key to Gretta’s fate.

Jack “Truck” Wilson (50) A retired police officer who now oversees the island of Passamaquoddy.

Buck Chambers (52) Jack’s assistant on the island.

Scotty Grahame (57) Gretta’s estranged uncle.

Anderson Fisk (30) Gretta’s psychiatrist.

All the other characters don’t speak or they’re dead, so I won’t bother listing them. And a lot of the ones listed will be dead by the end of the book. This should just be called a list of mostly dead people.

  1. Funny… Reiszak means travel bag/carpetbag in Dutch, but knew it couldn’t possibly be a Dutch name, assumed or otherwise, with a first name like Boroqe. So I looked it up and apparently it’s Hungarian for “I travel.” Dutch and Hungarian aren’t even closely related. You learn something new every day, I guess.

Looking forward to the book. πŸ™‚
